Another Community Interaction Program (CIP) was organised by NCRTC recently at Modinagar, Uttar Pradesh. This is in line with our persistent endeavour to keep the citizens of the influence zone of RRTS alignment aware about various dimensions of the project.

The interaction witnessed whole-hearted participation of people from all walks of life including shop owners, traders, residents, association members etc. They were inquisitive about various aspects of RRTS, such as how it is different from the metro, specific location of RRTS stations in Modinagar, provision of parking facilities at RRTS stations, the timeline of commencement etc. Participants not only expressed pride in having India’s first regional rail in Modinagar but were also excited about its ability to provide rapid, reliable, safe, and seamless connectivity to Delhi and other parts of NCR.

During the Q&A session, some of them expressed happiness that RRTS will bring Modinagar closer to various opportunities. Their children will have improved access to Delhi’s educational institutions, without the need of migrating to Delhi. Senior citizens appreciated that once the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor becomes operational, they would have improved access to healthcare facilities at AIIMS, Safdarjung Hospital, etc. CIP was organized ensuring all necessary COVID-19 precautions.
